HANS Board of Directors
The HANS Board meets every 4-6 weeks in Halifax. There are also active committees which meet regularly.
Members of the board include: Savayda Jarone, John Cummings, Oren Hercz, Jeannette Poirier, Michele Graveline, Rowan Skinner, Gaelle McNeil
Savayda has been in practice as a Medical Herbalist and Fertility Awareness Educator for nine years and has a clinic and dispensary in Halifax. Education is one of her greatest passions - in the clinic, the class room and the outdoors. She teaches regular workshops, a year-long course, and leads herb walks. As if she isn't excited enough about her work, she also pours her heart into fertility awareness and cancer prevention; she teaches workshop on both and recently joined the board of the national movement called Prevent Cancer Now. She is also a member of the Canadian Council of Herbalist Associations, which deals with political and professional development for herbal medicine practitioners in Canada. Savayda was one of the original BOD members and rejoined the Board in July, 2007

A documentary filmmaker, musician, and gardening-based community developer, Oren has also been a serious student of herbal medicine for several years. He is currently studying to become a herbal practitioner. Oren joined the BOD in July, 2008
