Amanda Dainow
Amanda has been vegan for 10 years. She has studied, made and used herbal medicine for seven years. She has taken Natural First Aid for Dogs and Cats, and Herbal Medicine for Animals. Amanda is currently completing her Clinical Herbalist degree with the International College of Herbal Medicine. She is also completing the Holistic Care for Companion Animals program at Clayton College of Natural Health.  She is an Animal Care Worker at the Kings County SPCA. She offers health consultations at a student rate in Halifax and the Annapolis Valley.

Michele has been an active medicine woman, chef and teacher on the South Shore of Nova Scotia over the past 15 years. She brings her passion for plants to all aspects of her life and work.  She is equally at home in field, forest or kitchen sharing wise woman wisdom with students of all ages. Nourishment of mind, body and spirit is the central theme of her presentations.

Jayme Melrose

The Garden Doula ~ helping people birth their gardens. Jayme has studied ecological gardening and permaculture at Linnaea Farm on Cortes Island, BC, followed by a degree in Community Design at Dalhousie.  She is currently working to develop a landscape for the Glooscap Heritage Centre that the Mi'kmaq ancestors would recognize and love, as well as working as a Garden Doula in Halifax.
