Overview of Permaculture perspective and how to’s for a sustainable garden
* NS Indigenous Plant walk – Laurie Lacey
2:45 – 4:15 Workshop Series B (choose one)
* “ Creating your own herbarium for fun and enlightenment” – Jeanette Poirier
Tour Acadia’s herbarium and then learn how to gather, press and preserve plants in your own herbarium.
* “Propagating and growing plants” – Kristl Walek, Gardens North
Learn when & how to make cuttings and how to root them, and other propagation techniques
4:30 – 5:15 Closing Circle & Giveaway with Rita Baruss
At the Closing Circle we say thank you. We have adopted the custom of asking everyone to bring a small gift to place on a blanket which will be at the centre of the circle. Then each of us, in turn, takes something from the blanket – a remembrance of this lovely day.
Please bring something to share at the giveaway.
